BOXES cast: Cynthia Rollins

Every production needs a backbone.

Someone who takes the time to become familiar with the entire production – instead of only their character. Someone who, every day, thinks of ways to enrich the audiences experience. BOXES has found its backbone in Cynthia Rollins. Cynthia has researched music and found set pieces for the play. She has contributed more than excellent acting – she has breathed life into this production.

Cynthia has performed on stage and in film, television, commercials, and print work in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC area.  She has received the WATCH Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, Best Actress at Dahlonega International Film Festival, a WATCH Award nomination for Best Cameo Role, and The Ruby Griffith Award. In short, she’s pretty awesome.

When asked what she would do if she knew she was capable of greatness, she replied:

“My wish would be that people stop demonizing all of our children and be more aware of and respectful of the many wonderful caring and compassionate young people in the world.”

Don’t miss Cynthia in the January 2015 BOXES production at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.
